How updates work depends on your plan. With a subscription, updates are always included. With a license, your first year of updates is included, and after that you can add an update plan.
If you subscribe
Every update is included for as long as your subscription is active. They install automatically, and there's nothing extra to buy.
If you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of your billing period. After that, you can't start new sessions. All your existing sessions and notes stay available. Nothing is locked or deleted.
To pick back up, resubscribe in Settings › Account › License & referral. Everything is where you left it.
If you bought a license
Your license includes 12 months of updates from the day you buy. After that, the update plan is $179/year and renews automatically until you cancel it.
The update plan is optional. Skip it or cancel it, and Confidant keeps working exactly as it does on your last update. You can record, transcribe and write notes for as long as you like. You just won't get newer versions.
You can add the update plan any time, even after a gap. If the price has changed by then, you pay the current price.
When your update coverage has run out
If a new version comes out after your coverage ends, Confidant shows a banner: "An update is available but your update coverage has expired."
Click Renew in Settings. It opens Settings › Account › License & referral.
Click Renew and finish checkout.
Restart Confidant, and the update installs.
Older versions
We don't offer downloads of older versions. Confidant always updates to the latest one. If you need to go back to an earlier version, email [email protected].
